John Biver

President/CEO

John is a founder, President and CEO of HexEdge Software. John’s role at HexEdge involves working with the Management Team to define the overall vision for the organization. Additionally, John works directly with strategic partners and key customers to make sure HexEdge’s products and services bring them true value.
Prior to founding HexEdge, John was President and CEO of Eagle Point Software Corporation. Founded by John and another civil engineer in 1983, Eagle Point is a developer of CAD software for architects and engineers worldwide. From 1990 through 2000 John was Vice President of the Civil Engineering Division and was responsible for all Sales, Marketing, Research & Development and Customer Service and Support.

As Vice President John played an instrumental role in helping the company grow and ultimately in taking the company public in 1995. In 2001, he took the lead in taking Eagle Point private again when he stepped into the role of President and CEO.

An entrepreneur at heart, John’s business passion centers on leading organizational change for the sake of improvement. His natural thought process centers around what could be, as opposed to what is. It was that thought process that pushed John to spin HexEdge out of Eagle Point in early 2010.

In his early career, John spent 5 years as a Professional Engineer working in the consulting engineering field. These experiences as a design engineer lead John to his interests in computers, software and process improvement.

John graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
